TPA at AHK Oktoberfest

Second year in a row, members of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce didn’t have to travel to Germany in order to feel the atmosphere of the biggest German national festival – the famous Oktoberfest. The seventh Oktoberfest, but the first that was organized by the newly established German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Serbia), was held on 14 and 15 October 2016 at the Belgrade fair, with support of various sponsors – members of AHK Serbia.
TPA Serbia, as a bronze sponsor, had the opportunity to enjoy the original Bavarian environment, under the festive tent with the German beer Edinger, diverse cuisine, a competition in pints holding and beer drinking, recognizable Dirndl costumes and fantastic Dejan Petrović with his Big Band, as well as a famous presenter duo of the TDI radio, Olivia and Enes. Members of AHK, their partners and many guests from the Serbian business and public scenes enjoyed a two-day event which had a humanitarian character this year as well.

On the first day of AHK Oktoberfest, after the welcome speeches of Dr Ronald Seeliger, President of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce and CEO of Hemofarm, His Excellency Axel Ditman, the Ambassador of Germany to Serbia, Martin Knapp, Director of AHK Serbia and Diana Towel, General Director of STIHL, the honor to solemnly open the first keg of beer was given to the German Ambassador Axel Ditman, who wished the visitors a great time at the “second best Oktoberfest” after Munich. The second day of AHK Oktoberfest was officially opened by Udo Ajhlinger, vice president of AHK Serbia and Katrin Čiganovski, head of the Economic Department at the Embassy of the Republic of Germany, while all the sponsors and guests were welcomed by Martin Knap, Director of AHK Serbia and Milena Janjić, marketing manager of a partner company of Stihl.

Business part of the AHK Oktoberfest had a humanitarian character this year as well. The funds collected for given AHK pints in the amount of RSD 130,000 will be given to “SOS Children’s Village” in Kraljevo, with the desire to provide the ward children warm upcoming winter.
