Savudrija / Croatia – From 11th to 13th May 2023, the Strategic Economic Talks took place for the third time at the Kempinski Hotel Adriatic in Savudrija in Croatia. The renowned event was organised by TPA, an international tax consulting company, together with SEEBDN (Southeast Europe Business Development Network). The high-profile event focussed both on the strengthening of economic relations between Southeast Europe and the German-speaking region, and on topical issues.

The Strategic Economic Talks in Istria provided a platform for the discussion of current economic policy developments in the Southeast countries.  Leading decision-makers from the world of politics and business once again took part in this exclusive meeting and conducted some lively discussions. Thomas Haneder, Partner and Member of the TPA Management Team, stressed the importance of the Strategic Economic Talks and their potential to further strengthen the economic cooperation between Southeast Europe and the German-speaking region: “The Strategic Economic Talks serve as a catalyst for closer interdependence between the regions. We are facing numerous political and economic challenges. The Ukrainian war, the energy crisis, inflation, labour shortages, digital transformation – the countries in Southeast Europe also have to face these challenges. I would like to thank all participants for the intensive and constructive discussions on these topics”.
