Job description:
- Administer end to end payroll process on a weekly and monthly schedule.
- Calculation of tax and social security contributions for other various payments for individuals and preparation of their tax return
- Optimization of salary costs according to client’s requirements
- Creating annual reports, as well as, special reporting packages according to client’s specific requirements
- Coordinates with client’s HR department to ensure employee records are accurate
- Communication tax authorities, auditors, banks – oral and written in Serbian and English
- Preparation and submission of all relevant tax returns
- Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes
- Assist in establishing payroll procedures and guidelines as well as troubleshooting payroll problems
- Assists with the monthly financial reporting requirements including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
- Assists with month end closing procedures
- Provides financial data and analysis
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Requirements:
- University degree (level VI or VII);
- Minimum of 2 years experience with end-to-end payroll processing including experience with a consulting company;
- Strong understanding of payroll processes;
- Thorough knowledge of payroll related state, legal, tax, and compliance requirement;
- Advanced Excel experience (pivot tables and lookups) required
- Fluent in English (writing and conversational, level B1, or higher);
- Knowledge of ABSoft is an advantage;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
