Accounting Specialist
Who are we?
TPA is a leading accounting, tax advisory, and audit company in Central and Eastern Europe. It currently employs more than 2050 staff members in 12 countries of an independent TPA Group. Additionally, we are an independent member of the international Baker Tilly network and thereby perfectly connected at global level and able to provide high-quality services in all the main business centres and regions of the world. Due to expansion of our business in Serbia, we are looking for a new member of our team- Accounting Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Posting all accounting documents in accordance with applicable regulations and internal procedures
- Performing monthly closing entries and supporting monthly and quarterly reporting processes
- Preparation, submission and reconciliation of VAT returns and other tax forms
- Performing reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts
- Processing and accounting of travel expenses
- Assisting in payroll calculations and related accounting entries
- Supporting preparation of annual financial statements and corporate income tax reports
- Preparing quarterly statistical reports
- Ensuring compliance with local tax and financial legislation
- Cooperation with external auditors and tax authorities when required
- Coordinating daily tasks and priorities with the Senior Accountant and Manager
Requirements
- University degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field)
- 2–4 years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment
- Good knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations
- Fluent in English
- Excellent computer software skills, knowledge of AB Soft or SAP would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with a collaborative approach to work
- Ability to adapt to and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment
