Accounting Specialist

Due to expansion of our business in Serbia, we are looking for a new member of our team- Accounting Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Posting all accounting documents in accordance with applicable regulations and internal procedures
• Performing monthly closing entries and supporting monthly and quarterly reporting processes
• Preparation, submission and reconciliation of VAT returns and other tax forms
• Performing reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts
• Processing and accounting of travel expenses
• Assisting in payroll calculations and related accounting entries
• Supporting preparation of annual financial statements and corporate income tax reports
• Preparing quarterly statistical reports
• Ensuring compliance with local tax and financial legislation
• Cooperation with external auditors and tax authorities when required
• Coordinating daily tasks and priorities with the Senior Accountant and Manager

Requirements

• University degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field)
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment
• Good knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations
• Fluent in English
• Excellent computer software skills, knowledge of AB Soft or SAP would be an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player with a collaborative approach to work
• Ability to adapt to and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment
