On 12 and 13 June 2017, 27 representatives from 15 countries in the Baker Tilly International Network came together in Vienna with the objective of doing business together.
How can we do business together?
The TPA Group proudly hosted the first international Business Development Meeting of its kind at the Headquarter office in Vienna. Along with the TPA Group, participants from Baker Tilly in Germany, Baker Tilly Berk in the Netherlands, Baker Tilly Ukraine and Baker Tilly Russia attended. The meeting started in a relaxed atmosphere at a typical Viennese wine tavern on the previous evening.
Investment Outlook in CEE/SEE
The half day meeting on 13 June was moderated by Klaus Bauer-Mitterlehner, Partner at TPA Austria. The well-planned agenda began with a keynote speech “Investment Outlook in CEE/SEE” by Lubomir Mitov, who is the Managing Director/ Chief CEE Economist at UniCredit Bank AG.

Business Speed Dating Session
The subsequent Business Speed Dating Session turned out to be the highlight of the meeting. In 80 minutes the Country representatives met with 9 different business partners. These sessions allowed the country representatives to meet on a face-to-face basis, and bilateral possibilities were discussed at length.
Baker Tilly & the TPA Group at the Expo Real 2017
Another important point was the introduction of and update on the Baker Tilly fair booth at Expo Real organized by the TPA Group. Expo Real is the most important real estate fair in Europe and it will take place from 4 – 6 October 2017 in Munich.

Potential Business opportunities
It was a great pleasure for Klaus Bauer-Mitterlehner to be able to host this meeting. Thanks to the active participation and the open discussions it was a big success and numerous potential business opportunities were identified. Following this event a joint meeting between an Austrian client and our colleagues from Russia and Ukraine has already taken place.
As the event came to a close, Klaus Bauer-Mitterlehner commented: “By the end of the day, it was clear that this new kind of meeting structure – namely the Baker Tilly Europe Alliance (BTEA) Business Speed Dating – will be worth repeating in the future.”
